Save the lofting

Hello Builders,

I am introducing a new service for those who would like to save the lofting or just not quite sure how it is done. You can buy a full size drawing of all the panels needed for building the canoes. The only thing you have to do is cut the plywood directly from the drawing. My friend John Errington has used the method and built a daytrip canoe with it. He has taken these pictures.

The new plan options can be seen here:

I am currently working on two canoes and I used the full-scale plans. The system works I can assure you and it saves a lot of time since you don’t have to do any lofting.

Just fasten the plans at the plywood with some adhesive tape and cut. Can’t be easier.

To all Builders! I am a Danish boatimporter/dealer with great interrest in kitboats, Morten (Boatplans.dk) is my top favorite designer, not only for his genius small boatdesigns as place him exact in the middle óf all other famous designers, latelý I asked him for full scale plans for a small easy and fast to build canoe, he created the Combi Canoe special for me, it is a great design, very easy to understand and best of all, lay the paper plan direct on the plywood and cut, wups - one hour later you have a very nice little kit, I hope he will do more of his design work this way, when you have tried it once you are looking for more. Morten is working for me at the moment on a 25 footer pilot/patrol/launch boat as we will put in serial production, he is putting his soul down to the paper, later you will find this project in Mortens design catelouqe so also the ameteur builder can build it himself, if you are going to build a boat you should think of a MO design, it help us all to get more from Mortens hand. fair wind to all builders!

What's the status on this patrol boat design? I'm considering the 21' Garvey Flex but this will probably more in line with what I'm after.

The status is that most of the initial design is ready. The project is on stand by until Claus finds a yard that can build the boats at a competitive price. So the design is not yet ready for home building. It will be but I can't give any release date at the moment. Please contact me by email if you would like a quote for the design.
