15' dinghy stability?

is the dinghy stable enough for a poling platform? not really concerned about speed on this boat cause it will be mostly poled so a 3-4hp motor would be fine.

Depends on your balance. Can you stand in like a canoe and be comfortable?

well i did have a gheenoe which was quite stable. is it atleast as stable as a gheenoe? i have been in other square back canoes that were not very stable at all.

Gheenoe might be a bit stabler since they are pretty wide and have a square back.

And you're right, a square back canoe can be unstable if the bottom is rounded.

That's actually a proto type that will take a 20hp.

I drew a smaller one that will take a 10hp and is 44" max beam. It's not posted anywhere but I could e-mail some images.
