Center of buoyance

Matt,
I'm presuming the COB is about where the break in the cockpit floor??? My weight will probably make a lot of difference in how this boat floats (like in my other boats) and I want to place my seat correctly. My Ocean kayak Big Game has a lot of weight capacity but if I carry much of anything in the tankwell I get water through the scuppers even though I have a very dry ride in the cockpit.

My legs are short so moving forward to crowd the floor break is not a problem and my rudder controls have a long range of adjustment. And, I have (planned to) raised the tankwell floor about 1 inch to avoid the continued flooding but wonder if the seating will also help.

Were you wanting the exact "Z" dimension? The it's 2.5" from the bottom.

No "Z", just curious if the COB (between the bow and stern) is also the peak of the cockpit where the two cockpit floor panels meet in the Sabalo. Maybe I am using the term wrong. But when I saw preachers question, I was interested in the same info for the Sabalo I built last year. Sorry for the confusion.

It is the same by design. The center of balance and buoyancy are very close in the Y direction.
