Merrimac Butt Joints

I have made a right mess of the butt joints on my Merrimac. Two have split apart when moving from garden to garage, and two are not as flat and level as they should be.
Do I have to start again, or can I fibreglass one side, let cure, turn over and fill gaps with woodflour before final fibreglass coat??

It's not too hard to start over if you used fiberglass for the butt joint.

If you use but blocks you can glue them on at the same time you glue the panels together.
Straight away very strong and they help keep the panels flat when you join them.
Not as neat as fibreglass splices though and if i built an open canoe again i don't think I would use them next time round.
