Safe curing time?

Post by Dickie »

I have all my pieces tacked together on the floor and weighted. What would be a safe curing time before I go out and start sanding to lay the fiberglass cloth down at the butt splices? Consequently..... what would be a safe time to let the cloth cure before flipping over to do the other side? I havent been able to find any estimates on curing time. Thanks!

I use the 24 hour idea ........It is not tacky then but I use a med speed epoxy.

your epoxy should have instructions regarding this. But 24 hours is generally a safe bet.

I put some lamps on it and it dried pretty good in about 3 hours. Enough for me to flip and start sanding. I am gonna lay my cloth on the outside seam tonight. Means I get to start stitching tomorrow! Can't wait to see how it sits when she is stitched together. I'm kinda "Woody"
