Boat Length verses Weight???

This question has been troubling me as I get ready to build my next boat

I've realy been putting off my build because as I get ready to build the Wide TV and understanding that it's hull shape is a better paddling hull,I'm wondering since I plan on having 350-400# on board most of the time. Would it be better to increase it's Length to 17'

Would this make it a faster paddling boat or is it over build

The increased length would help the waterline and subsequent speed. The current 15' length should handle the 350 pound payload just fine.

My regular T-V carrys over 500 lbs on my trips includiing me and you cant tell the difference, except I think it tracks better loaded. The w-t-v should never know your in it.

honestly, no.
There would be some increase but if stretching it 24" is all you'd be doing, it won't amount to a whole lot.

Yes you do. I am curious to see one of these babies completed.
