Hi all...new kid in town. Built one kayak about 2 years ago from 'free' plans, got my feet wet. It floated. Ordered plans for the Freedom 13. It's still hotter than the hinges of heck here in central Florida, so I figure by the time I read 'em over and scratch my head a bit, the rainy season will be done and the weather will be tolerable. Great forum, thanx to all who post...I've learned a lot already. Especially the item about the 'foot' for your saber saw. Genius!

That is the truth , nothing but the truth and only the truth but out on the back porch tonight it was rather nice , the cloud cover from the rains off in the short distance and a gentile breeze from the fans made it almost livable.
It is almost getting to the stage when being outside is a pleasure , not yet but almost. Now if the dang grass would just stop growing several inches everyday it would be even better. I could take that time for cutting grass in the yard to building another boat.

Thanks all...and Bimm, the 'foot' idea was an answer to 'Bruce36549' asking about how to cut plywood without chipping...back in Dec 08...I was doing a little research on the site to learn what I could and read it. Since I don't know any other way to reference it, I did a cut and paste of the url...hope that's ok to do

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2160

go check it out, it's a neat simple solution that just never occurred to me.
