Hello Matt, I am enjoying using the Freedom 15 on lakes and rivers in Ontario, Canada. I find it stable and fast and I dont fear upsetting while carrying expensive camera gear.
My question is, do you expect the strip freedom to be equally stable? I have plenty of resin and cloth left to build another yak and would prefer a stripper (kayak that is).

I'd expect it to be equally as stable, if not better. The rounded shape will provide a little more predictable feel if you lean it over than the stitch and glue Freedom.

Not a LOT more, because the S&G Freedom is a nice stable boat. But some.

I can't speak for the S&G Freedom 15, but my stripper is extremely stable.I have leaned it way over just to see and it always pops back upright. Even with a heavy load and swift water I never have felt uneasy about this boat. I do not know what Matt did but this boat is a winner.
