Where to get those popsicle stick spacers shown in tutorials

Working on my first JEM boat (pirogue 14)

I got some normal popsicle sticks but they like to fall out. If you could point me to a web site where I could order the spacers with the holes for the zip ties, that would be great.

Thanks a bunch!

If you go to just about any craft store, they should have them.

Remember, those spacers are an option. Not required.

I doubt if you can get them with the holes. You will need to drill the holes yourself.

oh yea... you need to drill the slots yourself.

Some builders have good luck using fender washers.

Thanks to all for the tips! I will either drill the holes or consider washers.

Happy building!

I had about 157 holes about that size left over from another project. I'll send them to you.

Is that anything like leftover minutes?

b,

Take no notice of Jack his leftover holes are not big enough and will probably fall out of the envelope. See if you can get him to fax them.

Seriously the washers worked really well but the gap ended up being bigger than I wanted, but was good for a first builder. I didn't use spacers in my current build and if your cutting is accurate the panels sit well together (I used some of Jack leftovers for this after I broke 3 drill bits by being ham fisted). Next build I'm going to used something like the packing strapping or find some very thin washers.

I'm glad those holes worked well for you, Tor. Had to fax in two, separate documents.
