Fabric Skins

Hello there, I know this is a stich n glue forum so I'm a bit off here with this question but it is a canoe question. I am making a very light frame canoe for my wife (she asked me for a stone age canoe) and the plan is to encase the cockpit framed area with a cage of bamboo and give the whole thing a fabric skin. The general design is out of my head and the general shape is based on the arctic sea kayaks that are preseved in museums in Canada & USA. I've never done this before and the skinning is a bit of a gray area. Chess is a reasonable good tailor so she will take care of that part. My question is, will standard 2 component epoxy shrink the cloth and take up the slack in the manner of an aircraft dope and if so, by how much.
