Chucks Canoe
As most of you know I am not a big canoe fan ,but Chucks did a fantastic job on our little trip down the Brazos and it is light as a feather.

Been meaning to ask. How did the teflon bottom paint do?

Starting out I hung up on a rock in a small rapid and got off , ( almost capsized when I got turned sideways to the current) checking it later in camp there was a slight scratch in the Teflon but no damage to it. Actually I checked the bottom when we were dumping all the rain water out of the canoe.

Did really good till that last set of rapids just south of the camp when the wind forced me to run them , there were a few rocks in there wanting to grab a boat bottom. Going threw them I heard a screeching sound and knew some Teflon was being left behind on the rocks.

Later we had to line the boats for about a 1/4 mile in some real shallows and lots of rocks and it just slid over them nice as you please.

Getting home and cleaning the bottom there are several nice scratches on the bottom but none of them are into the glass , just the Teflon has been scraped off which I appreciate since I was sure some glass was gone but it isn't. It will be a simple matter to redo the bottom ( fill in the scratches and missing Teflon) and have it back like it was with the Teflon on it.

I need to say that the Sasquatch 14 x 30 is one good canoe and it handled the shallow water and nasty weather quite well , even those strong winds that we had.
