Speedboat Questions

I was looking around your site and found the plans for the 16 foot speedboat and I have some questions about it. The plans say its length is 16 feet, but the specs are listed as such:

Main dimensions:
L.O.A. = 7,745 m / 25'5"
L.W.L. = 7,028 m / 24'1"
B = 2,686 m / 8'10"
T = 0,219 m / 9"
Disp. = 1996 kg / 4400 lbs

It just doesn't seem to match up. Are these the right specs for the boat, or am I missing something? Is the beam correctly listed at 8'10"? Also, is the boat constructed using the stitch and glue method or a different method? What kind of speeds could be expected with a 50hp motor? 70hp? 90hp? Thanks!

The dimensions should be:

Main dimensions:
L.O.A. = 4,629 m / 15'3"
B = 2,088 m / 6'10"
T = 0,248 m / 10"
Disp. = 500 kg / 1102 lbs.

They are corrected now, sorry for the bug :oops:

The boat is constructed using stitch and glue building method. The speed will be respectively 28 knots, 34 knots and 40 knots with 50 hp, 70 hp and 90 hp.

I was wondering if you offered scale plans of the speedboat? Something so that I could build something of comparable size to the model you have on your site. Are plans for something like that included with normal plans or are they available separately? Thanks!

The plans with dimensions can be used for a scaled model of the speedboat, but it means that you scale all dimensions yourself.

If you prefer to have plans that are plot in scale so you can transfer the shape directly to your building material, I can offer you that option.

For further details please write me an email and I will make you a quote for the plans.
