I am going to graphite the bottom of my pirogue and am wondering how far up the sides I should come. I know it will vary with weight but just an idea. Also how much graphite do I use.

2-3 inches about the bottom.

You won't need much graphite as it goes a long way. 1 pint at most for one boat. Mix the epoxy and then spoon in the graphite until it's like a pancake batter that's not too runny.

Darrells, follow what Matt suggest.

My experience is that I add about 20% of graphite by volume to the epoxy. Not much need to graphite beyond he waterline.
