Look I know from earlier posts that the old geezers prefer their solitude, however I'm still young and don't want to leave my loved ones on the bank to wait for my return

Seriously I was going to build the sasquatch 14-30 to take me and up to two kids (the only other things we'll have is picnic gear) but I'm thinking it may be too small.

The DK I built is a bit too big for the car and needs two adults to lift it onto the roof, however it does take all 5 of us so is very social

Once I've built the 14-30 I was going to build a sister ship. We don't have the options to hire different canoes and work out which is best.

I'm using this excuse to procrastinate and not build anything so any advice is good.

I'm 80kg the better half is slightly more and the kids are 40 kg each and growing.

HELP!! :?

Well if you like the Sasquatch, building the 16-33 version might work out nicely.

G'day Tor,

Mate, I just don't have enough good words to say about my Sasquatch 16-33. She is by far, the best paddling Canadian style canoe I have ever paddled. Darn near as fast through the water as Southwind, very stable and safe with glide that just seems to go on and on.

If you want to cover a lot of miles with minimum effort, carry significant loads or just do it Solo, Sas 16-33 will do it easily and with style unmatched.

If my wife, Robin could manages such a big boat on and off her car on her own (she is only a little thing) , she would be using it all the time.
