Modified DK touring canoe

Just finished the DK touring canoe last night. It has been modified from the plans slightly, I choped 3' from the original 18' and changed the ends a little. Everything went pretty smooth, just follow all the good advice on this forum, and the beginner should not have any problems. It took me about a month to build, 90% of the days the temp was above 110 degrees with about 15% humidity (Arizona), so I had no problems with the epoxy curing. The seats and yoke are removeable, just in case I want to put more gear or a cooler or something, used brass winguts. Tubed the entire outside of the hule with glass and taped the inside. The in and out wales really stiffin the the canoe up. Took it out this morning, no oil-canning problems. Sorry about the pictures, definately not a photographer. A real fun project! That is a really good looking canoe and I bet it turns some heads when it is out and about.
As Mick asked , some pictures when she is on the water would be nice , the boats always look better when on the water , if that is possible.

If it had ribs in it , it would look just like the Old Town Canoe , wood and canvas , I paddled about 55 or a few more years ago.
( It was my Fathers Canoe but I used it most of the time)

Nice job. Looks very inviting.
My canoe is shorter, and also has the ventilated gunnels. I carry a couple of 15' - 20' chunks of light, nylon cord. I weave a web back and forth over the camp gear so if a capsize occurs, the gear remains in the boat and performs as flotation. I like the tightest weave or braid of line more than a loose braid.
In camp, the lines can serve for drying clothes, rigging tarps, etc.

Wow! Such a clean expanse, not even a cigarette butt to mar her lines and I haven't even gotta to the boat yet! Didn't know such places still exist on this planet anymore. Now the boat ...
