Glad I'm not running for Pres.
Pending a email from Morten, I'll be switching to the Garvey Flex 14 as my first build.
I want to completely deck it from the bench in front of the pilot's seat/bench and put hatches for under deck storage.
I would like to deck it from the top of the ...gunnels?...like a flats boat.
I guess that might make it to "top heavy", but what do I know??
If not, deck it from where the tops of the underseat frames stop and utilize my circus performer-like balance.
It is built of thicker plywood so that looks like a + in my book.
Also looks like it will take being off-beach better than my prior choice.
Anyone build one here and have pics??
This is it......this is the one.......
for now

There is no problem in making a deck on the boat. It is easy done and would not require much work. However you should be aware of fact that having people on the deck will affect stability. The boat is wide and stable so it won't be critical, but the movements will be a bit more than having your crew at the sole.

If you want a livewell or baitwell you could make some space below the two middle seats by adding some extra frames. If you then place some watertight hatches you will be able to have both bait and catch in them and use them for storrage.
