wood floats!
you could do some jugs, poured foam, pool noodles, etc.

I'm glad I was able to save you from at least SOME of the nastiness. Mick's boat-tilt idea is awesome! That looks great.
Not my idea mate. I saw a piccie here somewhere here of some-one else tilting their boat while they wet out the glass and "borrowed" it. but thanks anyway.

Was working on my daughters kayak this weekend and made a bone head move.
