Have run a string line down the centre and am in the process of sanding off the hard points where the panels are meeting, stitch up and check, pull stitches, sand a little more etc etc. Not fun but getting there.

Mick I had some similar issues on my sablo build infact had to recut tumble home panel completely due to not checking before cutting
As far as your hills and valleys go instead of sanding try a very sharp block plane.........Artfull dodger put me on to this tool its now one of my favorites, be carefull to plane to a pencil line though because its cutting power is awsome
A lot quicker and more pleasurable than noisy sanders :D

we have things in Australia similar to deer whistles... but they are called Shoo Roo over here, still have the occasional stupid roo even with those that will hop into the path of a vehical instead of away from it. Alot of trucks over here use them especially the interstaters... and they still hit the buggers.....But they also have big bull-bars, so damage to the truck usually isn't bad, normally it's just a mess that can be fixed with a hose...

OK,

I,m back!! :D :D 8)

Trip was uneventful and I went down to get another car that was a little more streamlinedthan my SUV.

Robin's car is fine but my Toyota has a Buick motor in it and it is the original petrol guzzler.

My son is serving dual apprenticeships in two jobs, one as an auto electronics tecnician and the other ar a mechanic and was in a position to find me a good second hand car at a VERY good price. 8)

This one is about 10 years old but is immaculate (allmost) and has all the bells and whistles. Here is is just dolling it up for the trip home.

Here is the real reason for my need to go to Brisbane. Miss Madeline, 18 months old and my youngest grand-daughter. :D

Oh yeah,

Here is the TV with all panels stitched BEFORE I flipped her. :D

Miss Madeline is a charming little gal. (Who's that ugly, olde goat with her?) She looks like a real handful - the only kind worth having.

EF? Falcon.... nice car. My dad had a sedan model a few years back, before he got his Subaru Outback.

I always enjoyed driving that car, it was alot smoother than my old XD that I had at the time, not as much power as my XD.....but then again I had done alot of work to the engine (4.1litre straight 6, bored out 40thou, offset crank, ported and polished head, custom crow cam, Yella Terra roller rockers....you probably get the idea :) ) in the XD....most V8's couldn't match it...I've grown up now though....I drive a stock standard old Camry SV21 wagon.

G'day Andrew,

Yeah mate - a EF, long story short, some bloke put it in to the shop where my son works to get a lot of work done ie new head, front end, brakes etc etc etc ad Johnno did it all so he had a pretty good idea of what the car is. Turned out that this bloke then couldn't pay for the work done and sold it to me for pretty much, what the repairs cost. 8)

It is an oldie but a real goody and at the price I paid, is certainly good enough for me to throw kayaks on the roof for a couple of years.

Matt & Jack,

Maddie sure is a hand full. A little ball of energy and mischief and when she is ready, can have her choice of any of the boats in my shed.

Hope to be able to play with the TV a little tomorrow. 8)
Regards,
Mick
