Re: Paddle Board
Looking great neon......
Can you show us a pic or pics of your tie down arrangements for the milk crate etc?
I've been pondering this as I get nearer to continuing with mine.
Cheers.

Re: Paddle Board
Here are the front tie downs and the access panel. I drilled a very small hole in the plastic lid to vent air in and out.
And here is the rear configuration. The 2 open pad eyes are 1" wide for straps. They are for the crate. I also put a flush mount rod holder the the right of the crate and just behind the strap facing backwards so it dosnt get in the way when paddling, but I usually keep my rod on the deck in front of me. I did have to shorten the rod holder about 2"

The two 1" pad eyes for the crate are 45" from the rear of the board. And I usually stand at about 65" from the rear of the board. That puts me about a foot in front of the crate.
I forgot to post this on here. Its my redneck brother-in-law from Dallas enjoying the Jem board.

Re: Paddle Board
woodman, I guarantee I am going to try that this summer. My buddy down in corpus has a ski boat. I will give it a shot but I am so dang blind without glasses. Maybe I can tape them to my forehead so when I fall I dont loose them. My friends are pretty hard core they will be all over that. Thanks

I note the obligatory beer on the deck. Got to keep hydrated in the heat!
My psychologist reckons I need lots of fishin' therapy!

Re: Paddle Board
Put the paddle board in the shop last week and sanded it down and started varnishing it. Should have done this a long time ago but I could not stop using it! Pulled the hardware off the deck and its crazy how much the pine strips darkened. But its amazing how much better it looks with every coat! What I cant decide is what color to paint the hull. I was going to paint it flat black, simple and easy to touch up. But now Im thinking hunter green. What do yall think?
