Heard of a bloke who was fined $50,000 for clearing trees around his house seven years ago. Guess whose house is still standing.
Our fire plan is to go as soon as any warning is given. Stuff the house. Grab the kids and dogs and a few other things and get out. I don't have enough guaranteed water on the property so I'm not wasting my time. The wife and I have talked it over. We carry insurance for the place, not the kids.
Enough said. I agree with you Mick, this is not the place.
Cheers

Re: WILDFIRES
I've been out of touch for some time now while away from home. My best wishes go out to all of our brothers down under and their families who are dealing with this devastation. No one who isn't there can fully appreciate the awful consequences of this terrible event. Know that our thoughts are with you. Hang in there and keep the faith.
