Thanks. Check your email. It's not full price for the second copy of the same boat (unless you wanted another set of plans mailed).PiratePete wrote:

Re: Tassie Wadefish
Apparently Intense Violet is some type of code for Pink the girl colour my daughter hates the most.
I will still try gluing it & see how the epoxy will stick to it but the boat wont be this colour.

Re: Tassie Wadefish
Did some more on the Wadefish this weekend.
Did a test mix of 50mm of epoxy & glued the 2 centre sections together last night. That seemed to work OK so I flipped them & filled the other side of the joint up
This morning re arranged the shed so I had room to work (the work ute will have to live outside for a few weeks now)
Glued the other sides together.
Started adding strips onto the internal frames.
I also did a test fillet with the left over glue in the pic above

I didn't know we could get the Tyvek homewrap in Australia.
I'll have to ask around - I need it for my Venturer Scouts
Cheers Mike

That sheet is about 12 years old Mike from when I renovated a house. I have used some to make sails before. . . . . . . . & might look into making some more for the kayaks when Im finished.

Re: Tassie Wadefish
Got some more time in the shed tonight. (even set up my old wireless access point so I have the net in here now).
I glassed over the joint before I flip the pieces over & fill the second side of the joint as I didnt like doing it with the 2 centre pieces.
I had to block up the door to keep the helpers out!!!!!!!
I could just see their big foot prints in the epoxy if I didnt!!!!!

Re: Tassie Wadefish
Had to fix up my vacuum system as my old one finally collapsed under use. It had been making a funny boink boink noise for a few years now as the dents sucked in & out under use.
I just cut a disk out of some scrap melamine & screwed the old lid inside it. It has a paint tin & as piece of shade cloth over it. This is the inside of the cyclone.
Drilled a hole in the side fitted a piece of hose through it as the inlet & to make the air swirl around the cyclone
Bung the lid on & seal with good old duct tape. Plug the suction into the top & the hose to the side & 1 vacuum system.
This saves the dust bag in the actual shop vac from filling too quickly & even manages to catch most of the fines as well.
