I have been reading some more!!!!!

The Hull shape of the Sabalo will make it track easier (correct?). (harder to turn??)

This would mean that it will require more input to make it turn. . . . . . .

So that means in small rivers & lakes the flatter bottomed Wadefish would be more maneuverable.

Than means Im back where I started & think the Wadefish is what I will need.

So Matt how much will the weight ot the Mirage Drive & its socket effect the trim??

Depends on how much customization you do to the hull and where you do it. I didn't design either with a Mirage Drive in mind.

no not yet. Those are so specialized I really wanted Dan to finish and prove it out before releasing.

However....(geez that's always one word that triggers a lot of events :P ) I got to sketching something last night that just might be the ticket for use with a drive well. Easier to build than the Sabalo. I have to verify drive well dimensions. I can't get to working on this until tomorrow really as I got roped into helping at a chili cook off today.

The design is basically a modified Touring Pirogue TV.

I'll post more info in later tonight. Running later right now.

After reading Scottrunnr's write up in "Out & About"

His 12' SOT would be a good length for me. I hadn't seen it before.

& after watching his youtube video he is in as rough a water I would be likely to see.

If my math is right Im about 5lb heavier than Scottrunnr & truth be told if I get fit paddling a kayak I should be about the same weight.
