Here is a pic of the T-V 15 -29 loaded with about 500 lbs including me.
The 15_32 would sure handle the weight and the tumbleholms would keep your kids centered in the boat. But length wise I would think you would need something in the 17 to 18 ft range for three folks.
I do believe it would work for just paddling around.
The t_v is an awesome boat.
