I own one perow and it is a great boat.
But the T-V is an awsome boat just bye Matts tweeks on the perow design and one more seam n the bottom the performance really goes of off the chart. I own two lakers and the T-v and they will blow the doors off any perow flat bottom made. in speed(ease of paddlin) tracking the are awsome.
YOu owe your self one of these boats.

G'Day Ron,
The pirogue is going to get itself built. We are looking forward to it. I think you're correct about these boats.
We are building a prototype pirogue at work. We are using an Unlce John's design. My collegue and I are doing this with a view to introducing it as a project to our Boys' Ed group. These are guys with poor educational outcomes and low self-esteem.
As for myself, it might be a good idea to start with a stitched up pirogue.
Cheers

Gary...
That is one easy pirogue to make , I have made several of them , It lets a person learn the principals of wood boat building in a short time and then gives them a great boat for there enjoyment. Normally when someone makes one then they graduate to the ones with more panels and again have a great boat to use.
Either way they are a nice educational tool and one heck of a self confidence builder , as one person on my forum likes to say .... " You are not building a boat , you are building boy's or girls and there self esteem or confidence " Just don't tell them they that it is classified as work , this way it stays fun for them.
Chuck.
