The top wetted out nicely. I removed it from the hull, removed the strongback and put it down in the paintshop. I was ready for glassing the top!

The glassing is not the most fun I've ever had, but it's really not that difficult. Most of the difficulty is just my own lack of confidence when I try something new.

Thanks Jack. I've got alot more piccies, but after a while it seems a bit redundant to show "same picture, different angle". I'm hoping to get back to it after the wife's surgery on the 13th. (She'll do anything to get flowers on Valentine's Day!!)

Lee,

You have raised the bar here by several notches at least.

Beautiful work mate.

I just love it when someone comes along, and takes a perfectly good boat design and then adds their own touch and turns it into something kind of special.

Thank you for sharing this with us. 8)
Regards,
Mick

Hey Mick

I almost forgot to show you this Mick. It will be prominently displayed on this boat when it's finished. I've named him "Hairy" even though he's way cuter than your mug!!

Hello Lee, Looks like a beautiful job. How did you fasten the first row of strips on the deck? also did you have the strong back sitting inside the hull and then
fit the forms to suit? The reason I am asking is that I started to do what you did and then ran out of patience and put the plywood deck on my freedom.
In a couple weeks when the weather will warm up a bit I am going to build a Laker and want to strip the deck.
