Holy Smoke!!!

Pup,
Little did I realize you were of course refering to HIS HINDNESS!!
Mick is always open to all of our criticizims and jealous barbs. I want to know if his wife has any sisters, 'cause he gets to spend way too much time making the rest of us look bad.
If I could get away with it, I think I'd blame him for my addiction also. He makes it all look so easy.
Had I known the distraction boat building was going to bring into my life, I wouldn't have bothered getting started!!
Yes, not only can you blame Mick, You should blame him!!
Why thank you Sir. :P

And I thought all our wives liked to get us out of the house and out of their hair. I know Robin does.

Lee, I can point Robin's sister in your general direction if you like but trust me on this, she is not like Robin and you wouldn't thank me. :P

Re making things look easy. I have built one or two boats now, and each one gets a little easier than the one before it. You need to build MORE BOATS MATE. :P ya know ya want to. :D

northside myself, Lawnton, near Strathpine.

Still, we may have to organize a get-together when we all have our lakers finished.....maybe up Obi-Obi creek so that Mick and Robin can join us.

Heck yeah!!! The first Aussie Laker fleet 8) We would be up for that just about anywhere in SE Queensland. 8)

John the Pom, is near Caboulture and his Laker is progressing very nicely too. 8)

Looks like a couple of mates and I will be doing a run down the Mary river from Gundyah to Tiaro this Friday. The river is in mild flood and there should be some great little rapids 8) Robin is absolutely livid  she has to work :P Will try to get some piccies taken of a Laker in flight. 8)

Go on mate, ya know ya want to! :P

I think there are probably more Lakers being built at the moment in Australia than any other S&G kayak. There is very good reason for this. They are great boats! :D

You working on Friday Mate? If not, come on up. It is only a couple of hours from you. meet up is at Petrie Park in Tiaro at 0700 then a car shuttle to Gundy put in.

OK, I wil be pulling out of this one. The Mary river at Miva put in is running at 6.27 metres and rising. 2 metres is nice, 4 metres is big water and 6 is suicidal.

http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo. ... .html#Mary

will wait till it drops back a bit and have another go.
