Great, now you are gonna have finished two boats before I finish my WF2.0 At least my wrist is almost better so that i can actually use it and start working on the WF again. Maybe this weekend.......hairymick wrote: Got all panels marked, cut out and trimmed today. Robin has been helping me with this one and it has made the whole exersise that much more enjoyable.
Looking forward to seeing the P5 take shape.

Mick,
I mistakenly thought that my canoe (Selway-fisher Christine 13') wouldn't need thwarts. It does.
In use, as I got in or out, the sides would move outwards. That formed a crack about 15" long near the center of the boat, along the keel line. I had to rout it out & patch with epoxy & glass tape.
I now have two thwarts tied in to hold the sides together and let the boat flex as it needs to.

Ah, I just boogered it up a bit. Not as bad as it could have been, nothing missing. Still a little tingly in a finger tip or two and a stinger every once in awhile when I make a wrong gesture. Pretty tough being right handed and not being able to use it, and having to do everything left handed. The simple stuff suddenly ain't so simple. Try combing your hair with your other hand.hairymick wrote:
What happened mate?
Well at least it kept me from writing any checks

Hi Jack, I think you are right. I am not sure what to do with this one. As she starts to take shape, will be in a beter position.
Hi DM, Look after it mate. I'm glad it wasn't too serious. Don't wory about how many boats I am building. I am only messing about. There is a whole lot more work in a wadefish than a simple pirogue - or even a South Wind for that matter.
Matt,
Hopefully, by the end of next week, she will start to come together.

Matt,
I seem to have it a wall. I just can;t seem to get into any sort of work rythim at the moment and seem to be doing an aweful lot for not much to show.To be honest, I hadn't planned on putting them out until Mick's hits the water. So I'm guessing a week or two.
Hopefully, by the end of next week, she will start to come together.
Regards,
Mick

All tacked up
Guys, I am loving the way this one is coming together - and the lines she has taken.
I reckon it will be a great litle boat when done.
