It has been a while but I have been making slow but steady progress on the sabalo. At this point I have managed to get the interior support together as well as the cockpit. Duck tape was my clamping friend in the cockpit.

Here is what the hull looks like loosely wired together. I was glad that those pieces of plywood I cut were not actually a 3-D replica of The Eiffel Tower or some other historical building. Those curves had me doubting for a while.

3rdcoastkayak, any more progress? I am curious how that blue is going to look with some epoxy and glass over it.

No glass progress yet and I am not excited about that part since I have never done it before. I am afraid if the blue does not look good it will be the fiberglass applicators fault. Here is a tip for everyone. When the plans say "wire loosely" that means contact is not desired. I am pretty much stitching this boat for the second time. The lines weren't right, too much tension in the wood, now things are looking better. Work has gotten busy so the kayak work has slowed a bit. Hope to get back on it soon.
