Re: Stanley
Getting the panels laid out.
When I picked up the plywood I had them rip the plywood lengthwise up the middle. When I drew up the plans I made sure all the parts were nested to 24 x 96" sheet. The angle of the camera make the below sheets look short but trust me they are full length.
Also invested in a Starret T-24 aluminum T-square. Very nice and easy to work with. Got mine from http://www.toolbarn.com/

Re: Stanley
Can't say enough for these blades. Very clean cutting. Note that the teeth are not slanted up or down. Just perpendicular like a Japanese pull saw.

Matt,
From looking at the curves on the panels this is not going to be a GrandFather Clock. Am I Hot or Cold? Is it something we have seen before, Hot or Cold? It it something New, Hot or Cold?
Bob
PS. And Who or What is Stanley

Re: Stanley
I reckon it's Stanley Kubrick - which means it's going to look like something out of either "2001 A Space Odyssey" or "A Clockwork Orange".Wannabe wrote:PS. And Who or What is Stanley
That's a great idea nesting the panels into half sheets - it will make transport and handling of the ply much easier.
Cheers, Bob

2) I'm sure everyone here has seen a wooden boat before. But it's a new design.
3) The name "Stanley" is a play on the style of "craft" this was design was inspired by.
