Bluefin SOT

Post by OnkaBob »

Just noticed the Bluefin 15-29 - looks rather good from where I sit.

Matt, how will the stability compare with the Sabalo? Just from the line drawings I have the feeling it will be a better hull shape in most ways.
Cheers, Bob

Laker 13 - christened and slimed (just).
Laker accessories underway.

It should be a bit more stable and just as fast. From drawing these (over and over and over), testing some, and getting paddler feedback, the designs get better and better.

It is a good looking hull. I wonder how light it would be if done as a tandem sit-in style with cedar strips?

Hi Matt,
Looks very nice, will the new sub-floor conflict with fitting a mirage drive?

Cheers Mike

Low 40s at a minimum. Maybe less.

Oh you are killing me! I would like to finish the Okwata before thinking of another, but now you have me thinking of another. Are you still considering doing this one in a tandem like Scottrunner's? It would be good for when I am taking out a less experienced person in the ocean. Especially with a mirage drive in it.

Craig

Speaking of mirage drives wells, do you have the plans for one? Did the one in Hawaii work out?

Thanks

I plan on releasing the tandem version.

Not sure how the Hawaii one turned out. Dan has had some other stuff going on and off.

I have another version that I'm trying to revisit now. It's a complex assembly and my first few attempts have resulted in nothing but frustration. But now that I have a CNC vendor again, I can try, try again.
