Adapted the trailer to hold the "V" bottom SOT hull.
Used 3/4" Ply cut to shape of the keel and covered with carpet.
New tie downs are 1/4" rope with a self locking pulley. Works a lot better than the old ratchet straps.
Used 1/2" pipe insulation tubes to protect finish of the boat.
Mounted some pad eyes in the tankwell and installed bungee cording.
Cockpit floor with "Academy" clear stick-on ruler.
Rudder keeper is mounted on the stern "Hobie" dry hatch lid.
Center hatch is also a "Hobie" dry hatch plus there are 2 flush rod holders.
Front hatch is "Crack o Dawn" dry hatch, depth finder is an "Eagle 360" color.
I love the "Hobie" flush mount pouches. They have a bungee top and they are good for holding all sorts of stuff.
Of course, everything is BLACK.
Going fishing Monday morning.

Hey preacher, where did you get your Hobie hatches & Crack of Dawn rudder system from? I love the idea of hatches that don't end up over the side or in the bottom of the boat everytime you take them off & I just like the look of the rudder set up.

Hobie hatches came from Austin Canoe and Kayak. Very good group of people.Jacko wrote:Hey preacher, where did you get your Hobie hatches & Crack of Dawn rudder system from? Crack of Dawn rudder came from a little family owned yak shop in Garland, Texas. I've had it for a couple of years but I will try and locate a web site for them if they have one.
I think it's made for a SINK but it works great on the flat stern of the Cape Fear.
