Hi Bob,
Yes I am an Adelaidean. I must admit to being totally ignorant when it came to purchasing the ply (this is my very first wooden boat project though I've made windsurfers and surfboards before). I rang around timber merchants and ended up at Australian Timbers on Magill Rd. All I asked for was 4.00mm marine ply and what you see is what I got. The ply formed well and I had no issues. I didn't have any sheets with a "furry" side that I've seen before on structural ply so epoxy usage and sanding wasn't as great as it could have been. I'm guessing from your user name you paddle the Onkaparinga a bit?

Yes, it's only a couple of km away and although only a creek by most standards it at least has several km of length which is plenty for short excursions. Have also spent some time in the Pat - underneath a Dancer - but that's another story .Spider wrote: I'm guessing from your user name you paddle the Onkaparinga a bit?
