Hello
I have seen some old plywood kayak plans that use a frame to attach all plywood panels to, without epoxy or glass tape, but using waterproof glue and nails or screws, then painting the boat with sealer and varnish. Could this method be adapted to lets say the Laker model?

It could be built that way but you'd need thicker ply and more frames than what the Laker plans have.
