stain woodflour

can you stain woodflour with water base stain? I wus planning on staining the boat blue and would like the seams to match.

I suppose you could try to stain the woodflour but be sure to do some tests on color consistency and see if it'll cause clumping.

You probably could add some pigment to the epoxy when you mix the woodflour. It will be a little difficult to keep a consistent color. But if you make note of amounts of ingredients and keep that ratio, it could work.

You could use a darker wood so the seam will be darker. Mahogany woodflour gives an almost dark purple / black color.

Or you could use cabosil as you filler, get a white colored seam, and then try staining that to see how it comes out.
