Coming along nicely Darrell.

With those tighter twists and turns I remember reading a tip somewhere about using a heat gun on the strip to help it conform to the stations more easily. Have never tried it but it may be worth a go if things get really difficult. Apparently it works best on air dried wood (as opposed to kiln dried) because there is still a certain amount of moisture present and heating it simulates steaming.

Off topic: Is that a Honda MR50 from the 70's in the background of your pics?

G'day Darrel,

I would recommend you use narrower strips where the twist and edge bends are. There will be serious edge bens in your strips as they transition from the sides to the bottom and then are tortured in edgewise to the stems.

You boat is loking brilliant mate.
Regards,
Mick

Would you like me to put a few degrees in the post Darrell? - we have excess at the moment
45C in Adelaide yesterday (~113F) and overnight minimum of 32+ (~86F) - Adelaide's hottest night on record.
I was stunned by the low temperatures you guys put up with on the Brazos trip - would have killed me!
I guess you're having trouble with the epoxy not going off, whereas here it starts smoking - literally!

No progress on the Stripper this weekend. About to leave on a Brazos fishing/camping trip in the Pirogue. High for today is supposed to be mid 70's with low tonight mid 50's. I can live with that. Building to resume Monday. :D
