I notice that the seat back seems to be well aft of the centerline, and on the Laker/Freedom, the seat is closer to center. Is this due to the rocker being different?
"After Her" was referring to the wife wanting one of the designs named after her. Therefore don't design a boat with a large transom, and the whole design better be rather graceful. Seems it was a few months back that that thread was active about some kind of "in the doghouse" situation (probably all in jest, I'm sure)
Sorry guys - made the mistake of assuming that other people know what is going around in my little brain cells:oops:. Yes, Lee is right, the thread was titled "I got in trouble drawing a boat" or something similar and drew a number of witty replies.
I know nothing about boat design except that they are all compromises but this just looks like it has the best of (at least) most worlds.
Cheers, Bob
Laker 13 - christened and slimed (just).
Laker accessories underway.
This one is slightly asymmetrical plus has a different bottom shape than the Laker. So the further aft seating position should work out well. I applied the same formula finding it's position and it compares well to other kayaks of similar overall shape.
