Matt this is what I am asking about
Got hull in sun warming up ready to glass in a couple of hours
If handles are OK I will retro fit them after glassing... along with centre console and rod holder plinths

You're saying you're going to not seal up the bottom part of that?

Cut out will be sealed with ply all round(bottom and 2 ends)and the dowel will form the handle
cut out will be maybe 2 1/2" deep..... do you think this will be a problem water coming into cockpit wise
as free board will be reduced by 2 1/2" in the area of the handles
hope this makes sense

naw ... that was a pretty cool video.
My son (13) and his friends are into making crazy skits and posting them on YouTube. Some of it is actually pretty funny.

Got my handle cutouts done
Actual cutout is deeper than first photo
As usual when step into the unknown something comes up you didn't think of
I will have to vee cutout bottm panel to allow for my knuckles.
will post some pics as things progress
