Matt,
Just when I think my mind is made up, along come some more soon to be released models. I've a hard enough time making up my mind about the ones that exist already!
Anyway, how will the new Freedom 18 compare to the Laker 15.5 as far as speed and stability go? Ultimately I like speed and stability, but could compromise.
The 18 looks great, when do you plan to release it?
Thanks,
Billy

Ron,
Thanks for the comparison. I wasn't ignoring y'alls answers, I just got my cable back this afternoon, after Ike.
Hope all you guys here missed it, or didn't have any major damages.
Almost pulled my little skiff around and parked it in the driveway, in case the water reached us. But all is well, or better than it could have been.

Billy

I saw one on Duckworks plans page. don't know the link offhand, but it's one of many drop-in rigs I'm startin to ruminate on.Merlin wrote:Lee,
Could you really put a sail on it? Seems a lee board would be hard to add to a yak, but I'd guess it's been done. Just haven't seen it.

Are you going to surprise us right after I buy the 15.5 Laker, and come out with an 18 or something? Is anything like that in the works?
Billy
Your fears are un-founded. Building a laker of any size, or a freedom for that matter, will only "hook" you into your next build. and besides your wife will lay claim to your first boat anyways!
