Another thing I have run into at the box stores are mixed sheets in the same stack, I like the 3/16 laun or 4 mm sometimes you don't get whats advertised on the signs . Carry your own tape measure and check the thickness on each sheet and buy enough for the build at one time.

Thanks for that Mick, I remember seeign the bit about the router in here somwhere also, vary handy.

Ron, I make it a rule to enter any wood supply store with a tape on my waist. :)
They take great liberties at the 1/32 level.

Lowes has some 5.2mm Lauan that seem to have pretty noce face to it. Better than the stuff at Home Depot.

I'm dying to start this thing but I really want to secure the epoxy first so the wood is not sitting around deciding what shape it would like to be. :(

find some flat floor mate, ly the ply on it and then put weights to hold it down.

when you cut your panels, do the same thing with them, right up until you are ready to start stitching. :D

Mick

Oh sure, I already have the plans taunting me. That's all I need is a pile of cut boat panels joining in the attack lol.

I told myself I would not get anything until I had epoxy in hand...
